The Moose Jaw Generals' losing skid continued over the weekend with losses on Saturday and Sunday to push the streak to nine games.
Moose Jaw dropped a 4-3 game against the Regina Pat Canadians on Saturday at Mosaic Place and then they lost a 6-4 game to the Contacts in Saskatoon on Sunday.
Brendan Kemp had two goals and three points for the Generals in Saturday's loss, while Jake Palmer scored the other goal and Jaxon Georget picked up two assists.
The Generals led the Pat Canadians, 2-1, after one, but Regina tied it up in the second and then scored a power play and shorthanded goal in the third period to take the lead and eventually the win.
On Sunday, the Generals came storming out of the gates with Casey McDonald scoring just 1:11 into the game. A shorthanded goal from Evan Sare late in the first gave Moose Jaw a 2-1 lead after one for the second straight game.
A shorthanded goal from Steven Kesslering 1:14 into the second period was followed up by Sare’s second of the game just 1:01 later to make it 4-1 for the Generals.
The Contacts cut Moose Jaw's lead down to 4-3 before the end of the second with goals from Luke Dyer and Mark Walchuk just 2:24 apart.
Saskatoon would score three times in the third period to complete the comeback for the win.
The back-to-back losses put the Generals' record at 6-10-1-1 through 18 games this season.
Moose Jaw returns to the ice on Friday when they travel to Tisdale for back-to-back games against the second place Trojans.
